Heather created the UK’s first CPD-accredited Hoarding Awareness Training course, equipping practitioners across sectors—including Fire and Rescue Services, housing associations, and local authorities—with the tools to support individuals compassionately and effectively. With 12 years of training delivery experience, Heather combines trauma-informed, strength-based, and person-centred approaches to create impactful learning experiences.

She is an advisor to the National Fire Chief’s Council (NFCC), a guest lecturer at Birmingham University, and a frequent speaker at national events. Heather’s commitment to change is reflected in her pioneering initiatives, such as the annual UK Hoarding Awareness Week and her work with Birmingham City Council on the long-running "Chaos 2 Order" project.

Heather’s training sessions and resources are informed by a wealth of practical expertise, ensuring participants leave with actionable knowledge and a deeper understanding of hoarding behaviours.
