Clients from our Chaos to Order Project aiding in PhD research focused on understanding hoarding disorder to develop treatment pathways

Our psychologist Sam is in the final year of his PhD at the University of Birmingham, this week he presented some his research to a group of clients we support through our Chaos to Order project with Northfield Community Partnership, the focus topic was ‘Why We Hold On: Hoarding as a Response to Scarcity and Loss’.

Sam has worked closely with clients throughout his PhD, applying this into his academy study to support his research on developing better treatment pathways, it is a wonderful opportunity to have their continued input as his PhD draws to a close to ensure his research accurately represents the individuals Sam is aiming to help through his findings.

We want to say a massive thank you to the clients who came along this week, without your input this research would not be able to happen and it is going a long way towards helping so many others in the future.
